Valspar vice president Joel Hart retires |

After 31 years in the automotive refinish industry, Valspar Corporation's Vice President of Automotive and International Joel C. Hart will retire as of January 31, 2006. He has held many positions during his long career in the domestic and international automotive industry.
Hart joined Valspar Corporation as vice president of Auto Refinishing in 1995 after the acquisition of Sunbelt Coatings. Taking on additional international responsibilities, he facilitated the acquisition of House of Kolor and DeBeer automotive finishes. Under Hart's leadership, Valspar Refinish has grown and now operates in over 90 countries worldwide. At PPG Industries prior to his stint at Valspar, Hart held several positions in the United States, Mexico and Europe. He was President PPG Industries Mexico and Director of Planning and Development for the coatings and resins group. His last position at PPG was managing director of automotive refinishes international. Hart and wife Pamela will continue to make their home in Trophy Club, Texas. |
