Akzo Nobel Car Refinishes Americas recently honored the growth and achievements of some of the leading collision repair centers in the U.S. and Canada. The recognitions were given during the closing awards luncheon of the 2006 Sikkens Acoat® selected Profitability Conference held in Denver, Colorado in late August.
Among the three businesses recognized for longevity in the program was Pride Autobody, Van Nuys, California, which reached a ten-year milestone of program participation. In addition, Mike Rose of Mike's Auto Body in Concord, California received the Sikkens Acoat selected Pride Award. This award recognizes the continued support of the Akzo Nobel Benevolence Program, positive community involvement and the effective use of the many Sikkens Acoat selected tools. Mike Sillay, services manager for Akzo Nobel Car Refinishes Americas explained the purpose of the awards, "Each year Akzo Nobel takes time to recognize the unique achievements of the Sikkens Acoat selected industry leaders. These businesses are recognized for growth, longevity in the program as well as support and embodiment of the program spirit and overall business acumen." Continued Sillay, "It's amazing the level at which these shops consistently perform. Ten of the 33 shops receiving growth awards averaged 29.3% incremental sales growth from 2005 to 2006." |
