Sherwin-Williams Automotive Fin-ishes (SWAFC) - the Official Automotive Finishes Sponsor of Champ Car - presented the first of eight "It's All in the Finish" Color and Design Awards complete with a $10,000 prize to the Champ Car team with the hottest look on the track.

"Adding visual excitement to Champ Car was one of our goals when we signed on to be the Official Automotive Finishes of the Champ Car World Series and the Atlantic Series," said Bobby Moody, SWAFC National Accounts Manager, Motorsports. "Teams use Planet Color, our new series of optically enhanced coatings, to add energy and life to their paint schemes. You can see the color difference in the teams that won our "It's All in the Finish" Color and Design awards this weekend."

The winner in the Champ Car World Series was the #14 Champ Car from CTE Racing - HVM driven by rookie Dan Clarke. With a sleek and vivid graphite color with hints of yellow, red and orange, the team won the award and the $10,000 cash prize.

In the Atlantic Series, the #21 car driven by Alex Barron for Polestar Racing Group won the "It's All in the Finish" Color and Design Award and a $4,000 prize for its use of a vibrant yellow and black Planet Color finish. This was the first time the local Cleveland company of CARS Autobody & Service located in Newbury, Ohio, worked with Polstar Racing Group to paint the new chassis of the #21.
