Keystone CEO Richard Keister accepted the 2006 Automotive Distinguished Good Scout Award from the San Gabriel Valley Council, Boy Scouts of America at a luncheon in his honor, which raised funds to help reach youth in Pomona, California.

"I'm truly honored to be recognized by such an amazing organization," said an enthusiastic Keister. "The Boy Scouts of America do a stellar job at developing a foundation of core values for young people to emulate and build upon. Keystone is proud to support such a worthy organization."

The city of Pomona, headquarters for Keystone Automotive, has over 50,000 boys between the ages of six and 16 who are eligible to take part in scouting; however, less than 1% are currently registered as Boy Scouts. Keister and other community leaders are working to increase participation in Pomona by emphasizing the numerous positive experiences and life lessons that the Boy Scouts of America offer, such as leadership training and value building.

In addition to Keystone Automotive, a number of companies sponsored the event, including: Maxzone Auto Parts Corpora-tion, Michael Baybak and Company, Inc., Wells Fargo Bank, Principal Financial Group, Wilkin Guge Marketing, Automotive Body Repair News, Cumberland Products, Media by Design, Inc., Micro Rim, O'Neil Data Systems, Professional AutoNEWS and Irish Mike's.

Points winner

Michael Keen, of Keen's Auto Body in Erwin, N.C., has been randomly selected as the grand-prize winner of the Aftermarket Rewards NACE Sweepstakes. Keen was awarded 50,000 Aftermarket Rewards points, which he can apply towards a long list of free merchandise ranging from golf clubs and stereos to computers and refrigerators.

Upon hearing the news, Keen said: "This is great! My association with Keystone has always been excellent. Their high quality parts and customer service make my job easier."

Keystone's Vice President Christopher Northup said "Keystone's recent venture with Aftermarket Rewards has already proven to be a positive one. We are excited at the chance to share this great opportunity with our valued customers, like Michael Keen."

Keystone's partnership with Aftermarket Rewards began in October 2006. Through the program, eligible customers who purchase Platinum Plus remanufactured bumpers and wheels can regularly earn points which can then be applied to a variety of products.
