Lincoln Educational Services, in partnership with Hire A Hero, is awarding up to 122 scholarships to active and transitioning military personnel, veterans, National Guard members, reservists, spouses and their dependants at its schools across the country. Scholarships that are awarded can be used to pay for training at Lincoln Technical Institute in Grand Prairie, Texas in, among other fields, Master Certified Automotive Technology, Collision Repair and Refinishing Technology.
“We offer flexible course schedules and job placement assistance while our students are in school and after they graduate,” stated Michael Rowan, Lincoln Technical Institute executive director. "Our students only take course of interest and often finish their programs in 12 to 19 months. Candidates who enroll from the Hire A Hero program are often married and have families to support while going to school, so these things are very important.” “After my service as a Marine, I decided to enroll in a Diesel Program at Lincoln Tech,” stated Timothy Lee a graduate of Lincoln Technical Institute. “I graduated in just 13 months and am now working at Regenerators in Fort Worth. My Career Advisor at Lincoln Tech really helped me out by placing me in this job. I am glad that I decided to further my training.” Hire A Hero The non-profit Armed Forces Support Foundation (AFSF) was established in 1998. Through the foundation’s Hire A Hero program, former and active members of the military have access to a unique online community that helps them network into quality job opportunities and training. The Hire A Hero online community is powered by volunteers who have connections to jobs and training in their hometowns. For more information visit www.hireahero.org. |
