The recently completed International Autobody Congress & Exposition (NACE) Space Draw for the 2005 event was an outstanding success and set the tone for another strong event in Las Vegas this November. The annual Space Draw took place March 21-28 and finished with over 85% of available space assigned.
"Coming off such a strong event in 2004, the NACE 2005 Exposition will again prove to be the collision repair industry's #1 buying and selling event and as such, will showcase the largest and most comprehensive display of exciting new products, services and technologies," said Dana Teague, NACE senior show director.
In addition to completing the Space Draw, NACE announced that Michael Henk of General Motors will serve as Exhibitor Advisory Council Chairman for 2005. Henk has been involved in the collision repair industry for over 11 years and currently serves as Marketing Specialist - GM Collision/Restoration Parts for GM Service and Parts Operations. He handles all the marketing promotions, advertising, trade show coordination, internet and parts training information for this GM business line.
EAC forum for exhibitors
As NACE Exhibitor Advisory Council Chairman (EAC), Henk will lead the 28- member council that serves as a forum for exhibitors to present their concerns and ideas to NACE. Council members also offer suggestions on seminar topics, entertainment and keynote speakers, provide input into show floor design, concessions and live demonstrations, and identify ways to create additional value for attendees and exhibitors.
"I'm honored to be chosen as the new EAC Chairman, especially following the most recent changes NACE has implemented during the past year. It will be challenging to identify areas of improvement for future NACE events, and assist in making it an even more valuable experience for all involved in the collision repair industry," remarked Henk. "I look forward to working with all the members of the council to make this vision a reality."
NACE, the world's collision repair event, annually draws an attendance of 30,000+ from around the globe. It features a variety of educational sessions addressing the needs of all industry segments, as well as an Exposition with approximately 500+ exhibiting companies.
