BASF announces first winner of custom-painted toolbox E-mail
Monday, 01 August 2005

Frank Painter, of Edinberg Motors in Edinberg, Virginia, was named the winner in the first drawing in the sweepstakes designed to promote the company's refinish portal and the BASFtoolbox.com microsite.

Painter's name was drawn from more than 3300 entrants. "I was really excited to find out that I had won the toolbox," said Painter.

Sweepstakes entrants will have two more chances to win a custom-painted BASF toolbox (roll cab and chest) containing a wide array of refinishing tools and supplies, including the innovative Glasurit Small Damage Repair System. The retail value of the toolbox is approximately $7,700.

The next toolbox features a highly detailed Glasurit paint scheme. To enter the sweepstakes, visitors have to go to the BASF website at www.BASFrefinish.com and correctly answer four questions about refinish products. The answers to the questions can be found on the website. Users must enter each drawing separately to qualify for a chance to win.

The sweepstakes is open to U.S. residents 18 years of age or older (subject to state rules), and the deadlines for entering the three drawings are (respectively) midnight, June 30, 2005, midnight, September 30, 2005, and midnight, December 30, 2005.

Visitors to the BASF Toolbox microsite can obtain information on many of BASF's leading-edge informational and eBusiness offerings, including SmartTools, VisionPLUS, color tools and BASF's Internet "mall" sites.
