Elections for the 2006 Automotive Service Association (ASA) national board of directors are being held through February 28, 2006. All regular members of ASA have the opportunity to cast their votes for candidates by calling a toll-free telephone number, or through a secure voting site accessed from www.asashop.org. Whether voting by phone or via the Internet, ASA members will need their member number plus a three-digit security code to vote.
The voting line is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Candidate bios and audio campaign messages are also available by visiting the web site. One general director position, and the positions of Collision Division director and Mechanical Division director are up for election this year. Official candidates for the general director position are Ben K. Steinman, AAM, owner of Ben's Auto Body Inc. in Mexico, Missouri.; Daniel S. Guido, AAM, owner of Tony's Service Center Inc. in Phoenix; and Thomas D. Layman, owner of Multistate Transmissions in Waterford, Michigan. Darrell Amberson, president of Lehman's Garage in Bloomington, Minnesota, is running for Collision Division director. Earl Dohner, AAM, owner of E&E's Garage in Brookville, Ohio, is running for the Mechanical Division director position. |
